A few kilometers from the center of Soriano nel Cimino, in the hamlet of Chia, there is one of the most precious assets of the rich historical and artistic heritage of the town. Surrounded by woods, in a characteristic panoramic position, stands the Torre di Chia: with a pentagonal plan, and embellished with ancient battlements, it stands 42 meters high. A structure as beautiful as it is evocative, capable of leaving visitors speechless. During the filming of the movie “The Gospel According to Matthew” the writer fell in love with this place and decided to buy the Torre di Chia which then became his second home. Today the Torre di Chia often hosts cultural and musical events of great importance.

Finally, during your visit, don't forget to walk around the Tower to admire the ruins of the ancient castle, of which the Chia Tower was part, and the suggestive natural environment, characterized by the waterfalls of the Fosso Castello gorge.
